This issue presents as an editorial note some of the positions of scientific thought in the social, human and health sciences. It continues with an original article on a novel traditional medicine technique for treating knee tendonitis, which has been called "Tejack." Following is an original research article entitled: Clinical manifestations of friction melanosis, which analyzes the clinical picture of friction melanosis in order to easily differentiate it from other pathologies that correspond to skin pigmentation. It also includes a historical article on some aspects related to beauty and the cosmetic industry for several centuries; and, finally, a clinical case on the follicular unit extraction technique (FUE), as the First Colombian case of hair transplantation in Temporoparietal Regions.
